Ryobi router.

Power tool review of a ryobi router. The ryobi router i personaly use is a ryobi router with 1 1/2horsepower. It has no plunge and is a cheap router. Thier is no speed adjustment either.

If you need a serious router for cabinet making this is not the one for you. If you need a cheap router that cost half as much as most good routers than this is the router for you.

The ryobi router uses 1/4 router bits. It cuts to a depth of 1 1/2 inches. The router comes with a case to keep the router and wrenches but no bits. Makes it easy to store router but i would like to be able to have bits in case also.

This is a good router for a homeowner or contractor who does not need a plunge router. Contractors can use this router when they do not need plunge router and not worry about it being stolen. The cost is cheap for a router and i would use this router on jobs that do not need a better router.

Home onwers will be able to do most jobs with this router. They will not be able to use large router bits for cabinet making or low speed use. This is above the actual use most home owners will use this router for.

If you want a router for some basic work this is the best cheap router. Solid feel works good. Good power and tracks well when routing. Stays flat and makes good clean cuts. This is a Good power tool for the price.

If you want a better router for more precise and cabinet work get a bosch or dewalt. if you want a cheap reliable router for half the price than this is the one for you.

I have owned this ryobi router for 4 years now and it works fine. I do have a bsoch router but i use this router when i do not need to use the plunge router or cabinet bits. If i burn this router out it cost me half the price of the other routers so i am ahead. I have a few ryobi power tools but this is the one i like the best.
