Makita cordless circular saw.

Todays power tool review is on the makita cordless circular saw. The maketa circular saw is model 5090DW. It is a 3-3/8-Inch Cordless Circular Saw. The rpm for this cordless circular saw is from 0 to 1,000 rpm wityh no load. The makitta power tool can cut 45 degree angles and cuts up to 55/64" deep at 90 degrees.

I have owned this makita circular saw for over 8 years now. I use it for everything that a small circular saw is needed for. From cuting sofit vents in wood sofits to drywall and even cutting grout and subfloors out. I use this power tool for installing sofit vents all the time.

I like useing this makita cordless circular saw for cuting the grout and the sub floor when i remove a tile floor. I cut throught the grout and just enough to cut sub floor plywood and not second layer of plywood. I can then pry pices up in one piece. This makes for fast work on removeing old tile floors. Not much dust because this cordless saw has a slower rpm than regular circular saws.

I suggest anyone who does this have atleast 2 batteries for the cordless saw because it uses the battery up fast. The battery charge last long if your doing dry wall cuts or soft materials but grout and plywood will drain battery faster.

This makita power tool last a long time. Yes i use tis power tool very hard. Anyone who knows how hard gruot and plywood knows this is tough on a cordless saw. The saw works great. Not one problem with the makita corldess saw yet. I only had to buy one new battery and i use them in my makita drill also.


The makita cordless circular saw is light weight and not to power full. Most people will have no problem useing this cordless saw. A contractor might want a more powerfull cordless saw but this saw has a advantage because of the small size. It can get into some places other cordles saws can not.

The makita saw is a great cordless saw for home owners and some contractors will find it very good. I would say for the money it lasts longer than most cordless saws. I am very hard on power tools i like to get things done fast. This makita cordless circular saw has been droped on concrete and from ladders. Not one crack in case and it works fine.

I recommend this cordless makita saw to anyone who wants a small cordless circular saw. It does the job well and is very tough. I like this power tool.
